Would it be because you have to get the xenon function on the computer turned on by the dealer?
I'm sure 203 owners will chime in and offer their input on this -
you'll either need to change the computer setting to 'Xenon Present' w/ Startech... otherwise, if you don't mind a 'check headlamp' warning each time, you can use a relay and tap into a constant 12V source. the power wire of your existing headlamp then is only used for a remote lead for the relay.

To badd most dealers won't do it, Try a Benz mechaninc thats not a dealer mech.

Yeah You'll need to have a diagnostic go into the computer and change the settings to xenon. You've upgraded your wiring harnesses and all that w/ the kit right? The car may have somthing to detect a higher voltage system/diff. system and shut it down so that it doesn't fry your harnesses.

thanx for all the input guys.
so does that mean i have to change my oem harness and get a mb tech to change the settings to xenon present and i'm ready to go?? would this cause any problems in the future that would somehow void my warranty?

well there may be somthing else that needs to be done. I would think that if the kit is W203 specific, all parts would be included (including wiring harnesses if nessesary), but if the kit is generic, that may not be the case. I would deff. have a technition check it out.
