ok i have a 99 c280 and about 1.5 years ago i installed a pair of c43 pace car xenon headlights. today one of my bulbs blew. i verified this by pulling out the other good one and sticking it into the headlamp that was out so i know theres nothing wrong with my ballasts. i called my dealer and they want 167.00 for a replacement bulb. i believe they are 4300k.
does anyone know where i can get a replacement for cheaper than that? if i have to pay that i might as well upgrade to 6000k and change the both of them. any ideas? thanks.

eBay usally has sets for sale alot cheaper than what the dealer will charge so you may want to look there.

Geez, that's a shame! I though Xenon bulbs were meant to last longer than Halogen
I had the ML for two years, never changed a single bulb!

It is better to buy a pair of the bulbs instead of one. Over time the Xenon bulb color changes, it gets more white, so a new bulb will be more yellow than the old bulb.

True Xenon like on OEM isn't yellow at all... blue to white to blue, etc...

99% of OEM HID equipped cars use 4100-4300k bulbs, so the bulbs have colorshifted to a more blue/purple over extended periods of use. That is why it is best to buy a pair, one bulb will be more bluish white than the other.
