Basically, I'd like to record say ONE line from a song and make that a ring tone ;) I can send it to my phone via a cable, already sent a few pics to my phone :D

But how the heck can I chop up an MP3?

Thanks! :)

I used to use Sound Forge, but my latest version has gone corrupt. What phone you got there, Ozzie?
I've got pics of my car etc. on my Nokia6610 as well. :)

You need to use a program that will allow you to sample 30 seconds of the song, convert it to 8 khz mono and save as a wav file. You can then use GCD creator to convert it into a qcp file to upload to your phone.

You can get more info and the GCD creator from www.sprintusers.com (http://www.sprintusers.com)

Thanks for your help gents! :)

I recently bought a Siemens S55 (gotta love that model number :P) and the ringtones are all caca! The current ringtones are all MIDI files, so I'm hoping/guessing that it wont be to hard to do :)
