This car is really pissing me off. NOw I hear water gurgling sounds in the dash...WTF can it be this time. I can't even solve the CEL lights.
I do get low rad fluid indicator so I filled the resevoir to the top but I have no idea where the fluid is going. I have no white smoke.
As well, what are signs of a waterpump going if it's not leaking?

Thats your AC. Where do you live? In austin during the summer my car would make that noise. If it is the same problem as my car, it is actually water, but its from the humidity, not from any leaks in your car.

Yea if you hear it with the heater on it can't be the AC :)

I had the same problem on my w202. It wasnt bothering me too much and it only made the noise once in a while so I just lived with it. I don't think its an actual leak or anything major.

It's kinda loud.
Now i'm worried. I sit at a light..car is running about 86 degrees. Light turns green and literally 2 second later, the temp dips down to 80 or a little less. The gushing watewr sound and intermittant heat and the fluctuating temp leads me to believe the thermostat is busted..again. I changed this 2 years ago. I just hope it's not a waterpump or...god knock on wood, the heater core. I know my monovalves are prolly shot though.
Rocky,
My advice - GET RID of this car NOW.
All the best.

Yeah I know..but not sure that I can.
I can't afford another car right now. If I do, it'll be a corolla ro something cheap. Also my mom would not allow me to trade it in..she has this thing about buying a car and never getting rid of it no matter what.

Yeah I know Elvir.
Question about resetting codes.
I know to reset them..you can disconnect the battery.
My question, stored codes with no CEL light on..does that affect the car at all?
If the car 'hicupped' becasue of bad gas or soemthing and throws a code, will the car eventually settle back to it's normal self with no cel light on or do you need to clear the codes totally?
You need to buy urself a flashlight and find some time to look for the leak in the engine bay, firewall, radiator, raditor hoses and fittings, and under the dash. Look for white residue in and around the fuel pump, head gasket, mono valves and firewall. The gurgling sound is air in the system when you topped it off.
I would take of the fluid cap when the engine has cooled and then run the engine with the cap of to operating temperature then gun it to about 3000 rpm. This will allow the thermostat to open and the fluid to move the air to the expansion tank. I am not sure if the W202 has a bleed valve??? Anybody?
Good luck.

actually i think once you reset the CEL (disconnect the batt) no code is stored
i could be wrong

Thanks Yal, I'll try that.
Anyone know the cylinder layour for the I6 M104?
I just want to know of cylinder 3 has a coilpack on it or just the wires.

Well..in regards to the CEL and codes..if the codes are stored but no CEL, wiull the car adapt based on the stored codes?

i think the 3rd cyclinder is only a wire.......coil pack is over 6-4-2 if i remember correctly

Thanks Vodka, I prolly can rule out a bad coil pack cause 1 coil pack fires 2 cylinders and the code only states cylinder 3.
Now...the chicken or the egg. will a malfunctionuing throttle actuaor cause a circuit malfunction on #3 or would a circuit malfunction on the injector cause the throttle actuator. I might replace the 3rd injector since it's not that expensive but I have no idea how to do that.

I get this sound in my w124 every once and a while and my AC is broken. I've never paid too much attention to it because nothing has ever really been affected by it.
So I would worry about it at all...
