I am suppose to get my Bridgstone SO3's tomorrow. After it was determined that my Michelin Pilots were defected (after a year and half use) NTB (National Tire & Battery agreed to give me $99.00 credit (trade) towards new tires. So I chose the Bridgstone SO3's.
I am going to run 225/40/18 all around, but I am wondering if I should, or if it is possible to run 245's in the rear??
Can anyone help me with this before I decide to go 225 all around?

I Got 225 all around. no way in hell u'll fit 245 there. Even w/ my fenders rolled, when I have people in the car, it's tucked in. w/ y245, you can kiss your tires goodbye!

Thanks Doc. According to RENNtech, a 245 will fit in the rear. But I know the car too well, and doubt this myself. Just like the wheels they sent me (No I am not ragging on RENNtech) they swore up and down and side ways that the 18x8.5 ET32 will fit perfect. Well, guess what? Even after rolling the fenders on the front, they still rub. Then they asked what tires I was using and currently I am using the Michelin Pilot's, and I told them that I was getting the Bridgstone SO3's. They told me that Bridgstone has been know to rub due to thickness. But Michelin should not? So, I am suppose to have the fenders rolled some more  I don't know how it's going to be done since they have been rolled allready... but we will see. RENNtech did offer to have a custom offset made for my front after I told them about the rubbing. But I also have plans to install a big brake kit, and I am affraid that the callipers will not fit if I get a different offset.
Ohhh boy, don't tell me I will have to do a E500 front end conversion to accomodate my new wheels?

I was just wondering about the 32 offset you using? Coz I got 32 offset on my AMG Mono II and when I tried it on my E320 they rub like hell special in the rear. With the 35 offset I got no problem... Uummmmmm maybe the tires are not the subject of your rub..  ;)

I used to run AMG Mono II's 18x8 ET31 offset, and they rubbed, then I changed to 18x8.5 ET35 offset and they did not rub nearly as much.
32 offset definately sounds like the 500. 35-41 is for the regular W124's.
I don't believe a new offset will compromise the clearance for a big brake kit. You should be OK. You paid so much for the wheels you might as well have them get it right.
