Got a quick question.
I know the 1997 C36 as well maybe the C280 have a 3 piece exhuast. The Headers is the first piece. The cats ans resonators are one long piece. Then you have the muffler as the third piece.
My Question would be is the pre cat O2 sensor on the headers piece or the cat and resonator piece of the exhuast?
As well, will a bad O2 set off codes not related to the O2? I read a bad O2 can set off no codes. Makes me wonder if the O2 is sending bad signals which is causing my injector malfunction ciruit and throttle actuator pot meter problem sine it has a hand in deciding the mixture of fuel and air.
BTW I had the centre cat and resonator piece changed last year, I wonder if the new cat and res came with a new O2?
