Omg I Hate Calculus

I got this GHAY teacher who makes this class so hard...he talks and talks and talks...but i dont get crap...he gives us so much notes that its not even possible to follow waht he is saying...cause he did the notes on power pont...so as the slides show he just starts talking and u cannot just listen or just write...imposible...and this freakin LIMIT this LIMIT that, LIMIT, LIMIT, LIMIT...every section there is LIMIT...omg....i feel like my brain is boiling....ahhhhhhhhhhhh:mad: :mad: :mad:

i feel your pain.. I sucked at calculus in high school.. I asked the question to my teacher when am i ever going to use this crap again..... he said you never know....

Well it has been 10 years and there hasn't been any use yet...

tell me about it i failed calculus 4 times b4 finally passing it at a JC

the only numbers that i m interested in is with a $ sign up front and when it is in my bank account or on a check with my name on it

our tutors do not start tutoring until 16th till then im just gonna fall way behined.........and what is even worse, stupid me took a freakin mini mester..it ends in 6 weeks....every day 3 sections of homework, and test every frieday....im in HELL

this has nothing to do with time....my mom keeps telling me to work less cause its hard...that has nothing to do with this being hard...i have A LOT of time to study...i can still make it in time for everything, its just that its hard

I use it everyday. And having learned Calculus has allowed me to make some mad money over the years.

I use it theoretically in my job on a daily basis as well as pi-caclulus. And I make super sick cash ;)

ok ive said that i hate calculus...but i just want to give a report on some grades

My first quiz-100
TEST - 1=82/B
TEST - 2=84/B

Now im no genious, but for me this is excelent....i never busted my ass more studying this hard in my life...im so proud of me!!!!

I need to celebrate...which means do someting to my car!!:)

What do you guys do that makes you have to use calculus everyday? Engineers? My dad hasnt used that crap in years and he comes from a very strong math/science background... Oh, and I get to experience that joy of calculus next year in highschool... cant wait :rolleyes:

Software engineer, mainly design side, but I uese principles on a regular basis.

Being a computer engineer I kinda have to deal with that stuff every now and then. Having gone through 4 calculus (I, II, multivariate, differential equations) and 3 math courses in college... I am really sick of math.

However, I think Engineering is interesting. It's really heavy on math though. It's also very time consuming. Hopefully it pays off in the future :)

I should be a mechanical engineer just because I like cars so much but ..too late now.

btw, I hated calculus too but it'll get easier once you do more of it!

yo man, I feel your pain too. I'm currently taking calc II during the summer (with some other classes) so that I can complete both of my majors in 4 years. My prof is crazy. He's from Russia, and speaks with a VERY heavy accent, and likes calling us all dumb. He'd say stuff like "you don't know answer? After gallon of russian vodka, I can still see answer clearer than you." just grit your teeth and push through it. It'll be done before you know it.

yea, i had troubles with calculus in high school (in the beginning of the semester), but then, at midpoint, i figured out everything and pulled out a strong A.

through college, i managed A's for cal II and III, but ordinary diff. equations really ruined me (paired with advanced physics) forcing me to drop the class with a W. :(

however, you just gotta hang in there; the end will soon come for you.


as for me, i'm stuck with chem (lecture and lab) and computer science II (which is one of the hardest [stupidest] classes i ever took). everyday in school for 3-4+ hours, which allows me to work only a couple of day a week. i hate school


also, my classes end a week before fall at GaTech starts....

ok its time for another update.....here is where i stand right before i take my final exam on tuesday.

Quiz 1-20/20

Quiz 3-16/20
Quiz 4 19/20

which means i have an 88 average going into the final...at the begining i was worried that i was not going to get a B avarege, but now, im shooting for an A
