C32 Amg Vs M3 Smgii

Well, after I left the 4th of July blast at the grove last night around 10ish, I met up with a buddy of mine who has a friend with a 2003 E46 M3 SMGII that has been dying to run me. Both my C32 and the M3 SMGII are bone stock. When he shows up in the M3, theres 4 people in that car. So to make it a little more fair for my buddy, I decide to put two people from the M3 in my C32. So now heres the scenerio... 2 headz in the M3 and 3 headz in the C32. So we move on now and find a nice little 1/2 mile spot away from everything to run it.

Now for the racing....

Race #1: Out the hole
C32 gets holeshot and walks the M3 by like 5 or 6 cars by 100mph before i shut down.

Race #2: Out the hole again
C32 gets holeshot again and same results as race #1.

Race #3: Out the hole again
M3 gets a much better launch this time but still cant compare to the mad hooking power of the C32, though this time i spun the tires up a little bit more, I managed to pull 3 cars on the M3 to 100mph before i hit the hazards.

Now we take it to the empty Palmetto for some roll ricing...

Roll rice #1..
From 25mph we take off and I immediately pulled 3 cars, by 100 i have 4 cars and still pulling.

Roll rice #2...
from 30mph...same results as roll rice #1

Roll rice #3...
from 25mph...this time i have the M3 the hit (to you unfamiliar with the lingo, "the hit" means that I gave him a head start and I floor it when i see him floor it)... The M3 gets about a 1/2 car jump on me before I floor it, this was a closer race, but by 80mph I was side by side with the M3, by 100mph he was a 3ft behind my rear bumper, by 120mph he was 1 1/2 cars behind me.

get a guy that can drive that car and he will smoke you all day... my 2 cents.. and take the other people out of the cars so if you wreck you dont kill everyone.. if you just compare specs to specs bone stock to bone stock your car cant win.

fo sho. with perfect launch, it'd be hard to beat then! good job, regardless, man. way to represent. and it was nice of you to take pity on the poor M3 driver by giving him a head-start!

Dan, Actually I think it's been proven that the M3 loses to the C32 in a straight line...

if it does, and that is a if... I will be corrected.. I just ran one, a pal who I know ( C32 ) 10 times in my M3... same result.. M3 beat it.. everytime close but not there.. (to say that a C32 WALKs away from a M3 is a laugh, and to add that it takes it by 5 to 6 cars??? come on.).. and the other guy drags a honda civic .. stock C32 to stock M3.. after telling him about it he said that his car can beat some M3s and somtimes cant.. I have SMG in mine. No way rolliing , non rolling, etc... are you going to put 6 cars in a 100mph battle..and I own both MB and BMW so it is not about the logo pride thing.. The thing I wont do is to touch some of the new Asian cars that are made for 0-60 sprints... I got killed by a honda civic the other day.. that was embarrasing.. but at the end of the day he had a $35,000 honda civic.

sorry but high HP civics are not made for 0-60... street racing is a different game.. RWD > FWD 90% of the time. Id rather run a civic from a dig then from a roll. Why do you think fast 12 and 13 second civics trap 120mph+? They get no traction comming off hte line with FWD. On the high end, they can own...which is why whenever i go street racing most civics and such call me out on a roll!!! Look at teh powerband on an LS/Vtec setup... they only get power and barely any torque after 6500 rpms. Not to be flaming but whenever I hear somebody compare cars using 0-60, it just sounds like a magazine reader to me. Its the 1/4 mile taht determines whether your car is quick or not. But I dont expect you to be as knowledgeable about street racing or drag racing as I am. Ive been around the sport heavily for the past couple of years.
