Always a good experience for me at Sprewell Racing. Good price and service, i trust their mechanic (james) with any car i have driven, hes a bit slow but careful. But like any shop you need a hook up or else you will get burned..

Not true! I didn't know Sander before I went to TWS, and even at D2Technik, I walked in and didn't know anyone there, and they quoted me $350 to lower my car with H&R springs. Fair price.
I hop on over to Sprewell - $550 was the quote. Guess they jack up the price for me because I wasn't bling-blinging with an S or a CL.
I deal with Sprewell before. I don't really like them because they seem to lag too much, but as far as the tech James goes, he's really cool and I like him too! Like Tezta says, he's careful on any work he's doing and that's something I really like!
I got few quotes from them too, and like Luwin said WOW!!!!!

I dont know about Spreewell racing but there are some local shops here in Miami that are all about the bling bling....and if your benz aint a bling blingin S-class, G-class, CL-class, or SL-class....then they dont pay much attention to you and sorta look down on you... there is also too much of the "im a ghetto gangsta baller" atmosphere at these shops....not a nice atmosphere when it feels like every1 totes a glock and is libel to blast you if u look at them cockeyed!!! IMO...i would stick with the friendlier shops!!!

I think that back in the days when Pete, and William( who happens to be my friends room mate at the time) use to work there, D2 was a good place. About a month or two ago i went to D2 with a friend to look for wheels. i walked in there having a mind set that they're going to be friendly just like how Sander @ TWS would treat his customers, but No.
I walked in and the person who talked to us was David. He gave us a higher price for the wheels that my friend wanted, while other stores are giving cheaper prices, not only did David give him a high price, he was rude.
We tried to keep it cool and calm and he finally lowered the price but it was still a lil too steep and my friend said.."well i need a day or two to think about it" and David said " Hah, only for $1500 and you need to think about it? well this is not the place for you!" It maybe not, but at least he could be a little more polite.
so out of curiosity my friend wanted to know the price of a Volk SE37K wheels and david said. "Those wheels are far from your budget, so don't worry about it." He then walked outside to go smoke leaving us inside the store.
Back in the days, D2 had nice and friendly people. Now it seems like as if D2 is a place for stuck-up rich people who don't bargain and pay a premium.

Although he proabably didnt pay 30K for it..im sure it is a sponsored car so he must not have paid all of the costs.

Man this guy seems like the biggest jerk, how can you be that rude to potential customers? Thats jus stupid. I've never dealt with D2 before but all the places I've bought my stuff from were nice friendly down to earth people, this place seems wack.

well they do have an unsatisfactory record with the better business bureau..dunno if that actually means anything though.

Yup. It's sponsored by Diamond Audio and the car was used at the Diamond booth at last CES. All installation was done at the same stereo shop that also did my car.. I know exactly what the costs are but I don't think I'm in position of saying anything about it as it may get me in trouble.... Since it's not my business...

lots a varying opinion from so cal members on sprewell and d2. ive had my clk since 99 and dave at d2 has done all the work on it. ive known him and gone there for a long time so he is cool with me. but i can agree sometimes he is not the nicest guy, but the prices he gives me are usually pretty competitive. having brabus s$%^ on my car doesnt help as brabus stuff just costs a grip. sprewell was exactly as everyone else described. their prices were pretty unreasonable so i dont know the quality of their work... just my 2 cents.
