I think we've patiently waited for long enough, we all know that the E60 is pretty, but what does it really throw down?

The graph above plots this 1996 AMG E60 6.3 vs a 1999 CLK55-- Hmm, so that's where that sledgehammer shove comes from: 376.4 lb-ft of torque and a good chunk of it coming in between 3.5-4K.

Very nice Renn...

This is what I like about AMG ..the non-usually production car...

I wonder how will it stand against Brabus 6.0 Litre and Renntech 6.0 Litre as well (off course the NA engine)...
This way people will start to have more respect to AMG...

Frequently these other tuner found to have more powerfull by having more displacement (not the newer AMG supercharged lines ;) ).


Truely a masterpiece, If I won a lottery I'd by this car in a heartbeat.. :D

haha j/k but those AMG VPs and CEOs (AMG currently has 3) do know how to do things. Actually, that's the funny thing that I noticed when I was over there; all of the AMG heavy hitters drive E-classes. 210s in the past, and now all 211s, all very individual, and more than a few wagons. Just seems to be the ride of choice...esp when you want to be on the down low.

Emphasis on Beast. The torque is frickin' nuts. And the sound....we need to post up a clip of the sound! Moflo, when you have time, let's do some sound recordings for everyone on the board!

I also want to say that car is dialed-down good. The road-holding is spot on, steering is super responsive, and the highway stability at 100+ is rock solid.

And Renn is so versed with automotive history (especially AMG/HWA/Porsche) that it does justice to this ride. It's quite amazing to learn about this car, and how lucky we are it is, of all places, in the Sf Bay Area :banana: Crazy I tell ya....

It's not Opal Black...and actually the color has been the subject of a long standing debate...we've been playing detective as much as possible, but don't know for sure.

This is what we do know:

There's a plate on the car that says it's "AMG Diamond Black".

The car is not painted MB Diamond Black as it is missing blue/purple hues that are a part of diamond black.

There are no paint codes stamped on the usual places.

Closest match I can find by comparing swatches is that it's Designo brilliantschwarz, but with more metal flake in it.

And if there's a pic of mine that you want a high res of, just holler and I'd be happy to send you one.
