Nearly Got T-boned Trying To Race....

I pulled up at a set of lights yesterday next to a CLK500. I looked at the driver and thought, yep, it's on! :D I was excitied as I have been looking for a '500' to race :P
So, I hit POWER and waited, the light goes Green and he nails it. Being the paranoid person that I am, I look over to the right to make sure no one has run the Red light and a car comes flying through the intersection :o
I had moved all of a few feet so the other car passed me with plenty of room to spare, the CLK was safe too as he had shot off into the distance :werd:
I caught up to he CLK and he took off again. He was doing about 90 in a 70 zone and I had to turn about half a mile down the road so we couldn't race :(
I must admit, the acceleration is quite impressive, can't wait till I get to REALLY race one! :D

Oh hell yeah! The few times that I drove it, it saw the other side of the tacho! :D :banana: The exhaust note is bliss too...... say........ better than an SLK230 :P

actually the exhaust is pretty deep on my SLK230K...but the engine sound...that's another story...lol... :P

my 300 had a nice note to it when I put in a conical intake, lost a resonator, and slapped on my Remus exhaust, and belive me, that thing was pushed about as hard as that engine would push, but I wouldn't say opening it up is must at all.

Not too sure man, I'll either replace it with another HSV in a couple of years, or, I'll buy a CLK500. Whatever it is, it'll have a V8! ;)
