I wanna see 200k mi. on my diesel before it goes away! The engine's really healthy and so is the transmission. Hopefully I'll see it soon!

It's got 192k mi. now :)

Congrats on the 200k, scottschoe! I was told the old V8's are pretty bulletproof and with regular servicing should easily do more than that. :)
I hit 144000km yesterday on the N1 between Cape Town and Stellenbosch. :cool:

now that we are takinga bout what we hit...jk...and that i noticed MR.Jones here i have to say what just happened just five minutes ago..i was driving home from my girls house, and all of the sudden there is this bird that flies very low...so i see it and next second TUD, it hit my grille, i look in the rear view mirror, and all i see is feathers...it was so funny i could not help laughing...ok sorry back to the topic

correct....my dad doesn't really pay attention to his cars; when they break down b/c he doesn't take care of them, he just buys another :rolleyes: . oh well, at least we're buying another.....not a bad excuse to get myself a different car of my choice.

i THINK the car's leaking transmission fluid and something else; we have the option of fixing it but it would cost more than the car's worth. it still drives ok, nothing wrong yet.

my 300E just hit 250,000k welcome to the club.....BTW I was going to sell it but this darn thing just wont quit! Goes to show how long mercedes will last if their taken care of...being and inline 6 doesn't hurt either...heres a pic

my m104 I6 is at 166,000 miles and if i dun get a job and move my A$$ up in the bay area soon i m sure i'll hit 200k in about a year or so :confused: but i think this engine will last 250k+ without a major rebuild
