Car Shop Inc. (http://www.carshopinc.com/product/JET.shtml) claims that they have a Jet Chip ECU upgrade for the Hemi (bottom of the list), but Jet Chip's site doesn't show any application for the Hemi.
Keene Bell makes a supercharger for it....pumps up the horsepower to 500 :zucchini:

Dude you gotta be kidding me the H2 is a piece of junk. Not many people that I know that have an H2 uses it for towing. No truck with IFS is even good offroad especially being 4x4. BTW the gas mileage is crappy :o

I know almost everything about every German, Italian, and to a lesser degree, Japanese car. But I don't know a thing about American cars. Can someone tell me exactly what a "Hemi" is or means? Thanks!

Hemi is the name of the supercharger... i think its the brand name... or sumthing like that, i dunno, but they use to have them in old school muscle cars back in the day.

i think it stands for Hemispherical intake or something like that!!! All i know is that the oldschool American muscle Hemis had a Hemispherical something..which would give them the name Hemi. But the new Hemi motor in the ram doesnt have it, making it a false Hemi!!! W/e, American car politics....i dunno!!!!!

It has a hemispherical combustion chamber. That is why it's called a hemi. If the new Ram Hemi isn't hemispherical, why on earth is it called a Hemi?!?

The new Ram combustion chamber is hemispherical.
"The engine's unique two-valve hemispherical combustion chamber within an aluminum head provides impressive air flow, torque and power (hallmarks of the original), and gives the engine its throaty rumble. Fifty-six pounds lighter than the 5.9-liter V-8, the 5.7-liter Hemi produces 41% more power and 12% more peak torque."
"The new Hemi features cross-flow aluminum cylinder heads with hemispherical combustion chambers and cast, steel rocker arm actuated splayed valves for high air flow; two spark plugs per cylinder for fast, efficient combustion; and a new direct ignition system with high-power coils ensuring consistent, complete combustion. "
Floyd Allen, Vice President, Product Powertrain Team, said: "The new 5.7-Liter HEMI Magnum utilizes such advances as a composite integrated air fuel module and electronic throttle control. The hemispherical head design allows the use of larger valves and provides better air flow to the combustion chambers."
It has 16 pushrod-operated overhead valves, hydraulic lifters with roller followers, sequential multiple-port returnless fuel injection, and a compression ratio of 9.6:1. It uses a deep-skirt cast iron block with cross-bolted main bearing caps, and aluminum alloy heads with of course hemispherical combustion chambers.
