Bought the Plextor 482448U

OK I finally bought the external CD R/W drive from Plextor - I already had Roxio Platinum 5.1, so I did not need to install the crappy Roxio 4.x basic s**t that Plextor supplied.
Quality-wise I think Plextor is the best, if a bit more expensive. I paid $160 (incl taxes, for the unit and a 50-pack Imation CD-Rs).

just wondering but why go external?

If I were to go out today I would get a Lite On CD-RW(internal). They make a nice drive and they are pretty cheap as well.

Well my home computer is one that my Company gave me, so I don't want to mess with it too much. I love the flexibility of carrying the burner around should I need it :D
