It's an interesting conversion and I have never seen a kit like this:

Whether you like it or not, the body work appears to be nicely done. Personally I could do without the badge engineering on the trunk ... this one definetly needs to go clean. I kinda like it but it's gonna be one of those things that's not for everybody I think. Here is the auction:

yea or nay???

Nay - the real CLK DTM has some wide skirts with vents to match the fenders - the back fender looks out of place -

A+ for fit/finish and originality. Front Spoiler is too tame for the rest of the car, needs to be more aggressive. LOVE the deep dish

...I'd hate to get into a fender bender with it though....insurance would only replace it with factory...custom insurance may work, but not worth it IMHO

Also the front tires are to narrow for the wheel, look at the diff between front and rear...

It is built on a 2000 Mercedes CLK 320 that had a minor hit to the front bumper but enough that the bumper had top be replaced. The frame was fine and the damaged bumper WAS NOT used in the making of this work of art on wheels.

"minor hit"... these are the famous words meaning the damn thing was hit by a MACK truck and then turned into a project car. He could have added to the description..."creme puff, never seen rain, never raced, only used Zymol wax, or the best of them all, drives like new!

Just my 2 cents

It does appear to be a job (or at least from what I can see in the pics) but the fender flares in the back just ruins the smooth lines of a W208. :( Car looks like its on steroids.

Top marks for originality but a failing grade for esthetics.

I gotta admit, that's a major body work he took and finished. Note the lines, the right rear fender by the gas tank, or how the side skirt widen. It took a lot of experience and guts to accomplish this.

Nonetheless, I take a real CLK 55 over this one anytime :)

He shoots, he MISSES!!!
:(

Man, after all that hard work, I think the car looks pretty cheesy. I actually prefer the normal car over this.

The front looks aight...although I think it would have looked better with the normal grille.

Yea, the front bumper is not aggresive enough...

I think the rear flares are ok, but I hate how they just fall off after the rear wheels. It would have been nice to see the flare extend all the way to the rear of the car....it looks so wierd like this imho.

if there ever was a car that needed a wing, I think this one qualifies....it looks so unbalanced the way it is...

I love lip, but those wheels just don't do it for me.

Overall looks kinda ricey to me. i think it's a bit too wierd to really appreciate :(

I don't like it overall...
I think if you want to make a body kit, you have to put some
nice aggresive front bumper first. That is why many people
like WALD kits. (they can even make old MBs look like a 2000 model cars) so he wasted his hard work...

I like the deepdish sides only. This car is still interesting and can find a buyer. Some people buy ugly Hummers to be different so this can sell too..why not..

Imagine this as your daily driver! Imagine pulling up next to the guy who just spent $100,000 on a new CL500, only to have all the attention on YOU and have him wondering where you got YOUR benz. Don't settle for an average stock CLK or a simple AMG, Lorinser or Brabus body kit. One drive of this DTM inspired beauty and you will NEVER be satisfied with any of those again.

NO THIS GUY IS GAY.... GAY I TELL YOU GAY
