Not so much a strut tower brace, but more of a chassis stiffener bar. Both front and rear bars help add stiffness to the chassis.
If you look closely at the rear subframe which holds all the suspension arms and hubs it appears that it could use some more bracing if you were really driving hard.
I would guess the bars would act similar to a roll cage which will help to stiffen up a chassis and reduce flex.
Either way it can't hurt, except for spending some money and adding a couple of pounds to your car.
Jeff
I would be curious to see these mounted. I can't picture a proper mounting location that would provide any stiffening.

My contact person was Jennifer Krampitz,
Jennifer's email address (jennifer.krampitz@wiechers-sport.de)
she was very nice to deal with.. understands engilsh pretty well, no problems at all.
I did mount the front brace.. on tuesday.. it was shop night. looks pretty sweet. will take some pics and get them posted.. I still need to mount the rear one.. and of course will take some pics of that also.
I didnt think there would be a place to mount it either!! but there is... u wouldnt think it would fit..but she does.. came with a bracket to move the throttle servo lower down to allow the brace to actually fit!! it is a tight fit in there!!

i was thinking about these too, but the front "strut" brace on the C43 does not have a really good mounting area for it. On other W202's there are no electronic or other hardware in the way. I looked at my car and didnt see a great place to mount the bar. there is one bolt you can mount to, but in order to mount it and make a real difference you will have to add more bolts and possibly look for ways to go around the stuff in the way.
I am sure you know this already, but maybe the others were not aware.

Do you also got those electronics stuff on your right side of the engine bay? We've tried on a strut on a C43 before and the main problem is the throttle cable. And also fyi the strut really need some drilling before it can be mounted. ;) :)

well I didnt think there was a place to put it either in my car... but u need to drill holes to mount the strut brace.. the mounting hardware comes with the brace... drill three 8.5mm holes on each side, there is also a bracket that comes with the kit to lower the throttle cable assembly to clear the bar... and the other shtuff in the way gets bolted ontop of the brace... just unbolt it and put the brace in...then rebolt them ontop of the brace.
u will be able to see in the pics that I will have soon.!!
