So I am in Milpitas driving my friends brand new crossfire... feels like SLK, looks like SLK, drives like SLK, so I figured I know how to use it pretty well... the only thing is its a bit slower off the line due to the larger wheels/tires.. couldn't launch it with tire spin like I can with my SLK.
We are at a stop light and this guy pulls up in a souped up Integra... and not just the wanna-be boy racer one, but all business, lowered, big brake kit, blow off valve, figured it was a turbo...interior is gutted just driver seat and a huge monster tach.
So he starts gassing, the fart can is rattling, I figured what da heck...so light turns green I slam it in gear(manual tranny) no wheel spin but jerks forward pretty good (didn't want to do clutch dumping to a new car), he spins his tires for a fraction of a seocnd and hooks up, get right by my side, now I know hes got a little something something under the hood, because I hear all this noise there, like a turbo.
In a few seconds I start pulling on him, by the end of the long straight away I was comfortable 5-6 car length ahead of him... I am sure in my SLK it wouldn't even be close...
Was fun. I didn't know they can get these little pee-wee cars that quick...
