the cars go round and round why dont they just make computers drive it. I'm sure they could... n e ways its not exciting and just makes me want to sleep I mean I can understand why some people watch it cuz its an old american thing but really do you think its as exciting as Le Mans, or racing with touring cars

I freakin' *HATE* NASCAR.
I think it's the silliest form of auto racing.
Not only do I not care about the cars they use, the oval format is soooooooo boring.
And when they do race on a road course, it sickens me when drivers complain and say that road courses are so challenging and stuff.....NO SHIAT!!!
How embarrasing to think the US has NASCAR and the rest of the world has F1, LeMans and Touring Car races on REAL courses.....Shoot, even a majority of the open wheel cars are run on OVALS here in the states...wtf?!!
Even worse when the petit LeMans is shown on TV and it rates poorly with the US viewing audience....what's up with that?!!
Man, whenever i wake up on a Saturday and turn on the TV to see freaking NASCAR, I ether turn off the TV, or change it to PBS to watch some cooking show.
Did I mention I *HATE* NASCAR???

LOL!! ok, I agree with this aspect. I'm not down for injuries, but it is funny to see all hell break loose on lap #194 out of 200.

I voted no. Stock car racing isn't what it used to be. Before the cars that ran on the track were actual cars you could go and buy in the dealership and that made it interesting, but now the cars dont even look like their street counterpart.
Dale Earnhart was awsome though.

Though I don't watch it anymore, its harder than some may think. Sure they only make left turns on 95% of the track they race; 2 road courses for the seaon. But its a science how they find the 'fast line' for those tracks
I did, however got a chance to ride one almost 5-6 years ago. I had a friend that knew a guy that did stock car racing in the amatuer league. It was very fun and a great experience.
I watch it, but only on when they have a track with right turns

yes, I watch Nascar....why? for the wrecks of course. also to see cars that are supposed to be available from the factory, but never will be. V8 powered rear wheel drive 2-door Ford Taurus, V8 rear wheel drive Monte Carlo (although there actually were 30 of these made...were special edition Dale Earnhardt editions...first of which is in Earnhardt's speed shop...was delivered the day after he died, so he never got to drive it), V8, rear wheel drive 2-door Intrepid, etc.

No i dont watch Nascar on TV, it sucks, its boring. Now i know why girls hate racing.. cause Nascar make it seems so.
However i've been to a few nascar races, them.. local ones, at irwindale speedway(i get free tickets). It's kinda exciting... but all you wait for is the freakin accidents. It's funny seeing the local drivers racing... it seems like they have little skills and they would go sideways on the turns.. :P
Then they would have the figure 8 racing... oh man.. some of the cars cant make right turns.. it would just understeer then oversteer like crazy or sometimes it would just understeer and wont make the turn at all unless they slow down to 15mph... then in the middle where it intersects.. BAM!:D I love it!

Australian V8 Supercar series is the model Nascar should use. Oh yhea - detroit needs rear drive V8 cars besides Mustangs & Vettes( come on GTO and CTS-V, hurry up!)
Nascar is a joke - I agree with all the haters above!
