High Speed Frolic With An M 3

As per usual, we were on our way out of Sydney to Krisp Kreme's and my friend and I decided to have a bit of fun :D

First run: We were both cruising at 120 and we both hit it at the same time. He slowly starts pulling away shutting it down at around 190 and 3-4 car lengths ahead.

Second run: Again we were at 120 but he got the jump on me first and started pulling away. He shut it down at 200 and was about 4-5 car lengths ahead of me.

I knew he was going to beat me, but I just wanted to see what the gap would be. His car is a manual, mine is an auto. I think I did alright :P

Maybe it's time for some engine mods ......... cam kit, LS1 edit, exhaust, air box ............ :D

Time for some engine mods Bob! I always walk m3's. Especially on the high speed runs! ;)

Umm.well..a 55 is a very different monster than the 500 and m3. More HP and loads more of torque = a nice walk.

well, he was driving the HSV cough chevy cough cough. Heh. j/k! I'm actually pretty surprised the M3 was able to walk you up top. My hunch is if he was in the E5 it would have been just as bad if not worse? The HSV does have more power...

aintME is Correct, I was in my HSV. The E5 is my father's car ;)

I'm not suprised that the M3 walked me, my poor LS1 is burdened with weight. Not only is the ClubSport heavy, it's also restricted (performance wise) from the factory :rolleyes:

And yes, it's definately time for some mods........... but I don't think a s/c is for me :P
