subtle change, but a polished lip should be required on any nice wheel!

Nah, not clearcoated. Makes it a pain in the ass to fix any curb rashes

I'll most liekly polish my entire wheel. The silver is too dull looking. I need some bling.

Goin back to your original ways eh doc?:D Need some bling on a black car!! I have silver hamann HM2's on my black E46 coupe, thinkin bout polishing the entire rim too, polished is tight cus its shiny but not crazy like chrome.

JL88, those look sooo nice, subtle change but so nice. Im getting my mono 6's(replicas:( ) polished lip also, getting them in a week, cant wait..

thanks jl.. those look fcking sweet. how long did they take to do that? were there any problems, like damage to the screws etc?

Go get you some metal polish. Wash and dry your wheels thoroughly hen apply and simply wiping it off with some clean cloth.. simple enough for you? :D ;) :)

so u just spray it on..there is no need for sanding...and after you spray it on and after that whipe it off? ...seems simple:D

Nah, its not that kind of polishing.

They take the wheels apart and they use an actual polishing machine to bring it to that kind of finish.

Then they put the wheels back together.

I'm pretty sure you can polish it yourself with the right equipment. But getting it done professionally isn't that expensive either.

You COULD do it by hand, same way scotty190e did with his AMGs. Mask the wheel, put paint stripper on the lip, use polish and polish the hell out of it. It will get you a very shiny surface, but not as shiny as professional. and every now and then you have to repolish it.

I'd say go to scotty's site, I cant remember it off the top of my head, read the tech on how to polish rims, and do it on your rims. It would look good cus you do have quite a bit of lip on the rims.
