Hemi V. Bmw 330

During lunch today, just coming back to work, young guy on a brand new 330, drving agressively on the freeway, going past me like I was standing still... caught up to him at the exist, both of us got to the red light. He looked over gave me a wave and indicated he wanted to go for it. I nodded. Light turned green...

I was surprised he was on me for a few seconds...I didn't think it would even be that close, but them suckers are fast. Of course by the time I hit 60, he was way gone, but still, they got some balls.

He waived and flashed his lights...it was all friendly.

I was surpirsed too. The 330 is a good platform. They are quick. Plus his was a stick, so that probably explains the burst off the line...

Just to add some more info to the mix, the 330 with sport package actually came with more HP (at least last time I checked for 2003 onwards). It was one of the rare sport packages that was not purely cosmetic. Not to say it was a monster in hp, but it was enough to get it closer to the high 5's in terms of 0-60 accel (stick). So maybe this particular 330 was such a car.

Granted, it's no Hemi!!

But it' isn't that slow either. Which is probably why he wasn't left too bad at first :)

U R right. I see they offer a separate aerodynamic kit for the "performance package"'. It bumps up the 330 to 235hp.

A guy has one at my work and it sort of looks like an M3, minus the front fender gills.
