So i was my way to get some lunch today....go on the freeway and i see a toyota tacoma truck hauling ass coming on the freeway behind me he passed me on the left (all fast changing lanes) i started catching up and he got off the madonna rd. exit and so did i....
we are both making a left turn at the light ...i am right behind him...(he is the 1st car at the light)....as i said to myself 'tacoma v6 SR-5...man......did better have something more than that'....
light turns green and sure enuff he knows its on (with that loud exhaust coming on) once after the left turn i got on the right lane with him on the the left...he was leading by abouut 1/2-3/4 of a CL since he is in front of me to begin with....i can hear his loud exhuast roaring.......
2nd gear our distance is still the same... i am not gaining.....3rd gear....i am still not gaining....(that's when i KNOW HE GOTTA be SC-ed....caz a stock SR-5 cant keep up like that).....4th gear at about 4.5-5k i finally started gaining slowly now i am side by side with him..........as i get to 5th gear i am slightly ahead but had to shut down caz i am about 300 ft away from the next light
we stopped and he gave me the thumbs up....i rolled down my window and ask " you got a TRD SC in it" and he got "yep"
then we both made a left...pulled over and talked.... and ask how much boost i am running....i said "hummm about 1.4 bar steady....which is like 20psi" :-)
....i checked out his TRD SC......which was pretty cool.....

oh well what can you say 5 speed vs 6 speed and SC vs TC :-)
