Three letters . . . HIN. If you've ever had the chance to attend a Hot Import Nights show, you probably have fond memories of some of the sickest cars in the show scene combined with a hot clubbing atmosphere. The constant thumping bass, flashing lights, and overgrown crowds would have you feeling overwhelmed at first, but once you settled down and started walking around, you'd realize that the feast for all your senses wasn't such a bad thing.

This year was no different. Thanks to our fellow BNZsporters Hank and W420, I was allowed the opportunity to attend the show and document some of the fine vehicles and models that were present. I'm not going to show you guys pics of each and every car that were there - simply because in my opinion, some cars weren't really show-quality. And besides, you can easily hop on over to an import scene-oriented site for show coverage.
What I've noticed is that the Euro representation in the import scene, especially Benzes, has grown exponentially within the past few years. Thinking back to when I last showed at HIN in 2001, I could count the number of Benzes that were there on one hand. But it's different nowadays - maybe it's the shift in more and more younger folks being attracted to the complete package a Benz has to offer, perhaps coupled with an enormous standard of living adjustment to their allowances? I don't have definitive answers, so let's just leave it at the casual observation that there's a whole lotta more Benzes nowadays. And it's not just the base C-classes either - we're talking about baller status E-fitty-fives and SL's here . . .

But representing the three-pointed star at one of the biggest import shows of the year means more than slapping on a set of lowering springs and wheels. With overall trends leaning towards the side of extreme nowadays, you have to be hitting hard with an overall package, full ICE setups, and something unique that will wow the picky audience that is used to widebody conversions and scissor doors.

And we weren't disappointed . . . along with the fine representations of Benzes, some of which were our very own BNZsport.com members, there was a bevy of ladies to showcase THEIR overall package, and in some cases, their "mods." I left out the ever so common 14 year-old teenybopper that practically wore less than your average Olympic swimmer, as well as the oversized "model" that looked more like she recently escaped from the San Diego Zoo's whale exhibit - you can thank me later for helping you save your lunch.
Here's Christine Mendoza making sure the phone number she asked me for was real . . .

As the number of Euros representing in the import scene continues to grow as well as the quality and originality of modifications and rides, you can be sure BNZsport.com will do its best to stay on the front lines of staying current with the scene. Until the next event, enjoy these pics and keep on tuning so we can see you and your ride out there in the future!
