Had Some Fun With A Mini Cooper S

Ya...so...I was coming home from Borders earlier tonight and I saw a modded Mini Cooper S roll by...

so i decided to have some fun tonight and pulled up next to the homeboy driving the car...

we both took off from a stop light and were pretty well matched, but i managed to take the lead by 1/2 a car length...

did the same from another stop light and he couldn't pull on me the 2nd time around either...

i don't know how fast the mini coopers are or how well this guy knew how to shift but i was happy with the results...glad the SLK handled this one like a soldier...lol...

it was especially rewarding after being "walked" several times last night by a WRX with a "dragon breath" exhaust...that was quite a sight to see as well! :o :D

There is a black WRX near my work which has this "dragon breath". At first I thought the flames were for show, but once he tore off it was clear he was not stock!

It does look impressive,and I saw the flames during the day!!

Yeah, I ran against a highly modified Cooper S last weekend. Damn that thing was super quick... I mena not 5.7L quick, but still pretty fast. B)

The Cooper S is 0-60 in 6.8 seconds, and your C230k w/ chip can beat that?

I've never smoked one, but i've beat them usually by 1/2 or 1 car lengths, i herad their 0-60 is overrated...i've even seen some magazines show a 8.1 second 0-60 for a cooper S!

But this is from my experience, maybe they were bad drivers, i've ran only 2 before.

beat one in a straight and hung with the same in the twisties (woodside road)....back when my car had some mods. neither of us were really pushing the cars 100% in the twisties; we don't have deathwishes

yeah, can't mess with a Mini on the twisties, my cousin took me for a ride in his in HK up in the hills, man it was fun!

my c can never do anything like that.

If i were to have a mini, i'd take a psychadelicly painted one with the Black beatles logo painted on the top.

Cooper S's 6.8sec 0-60 according to the miniusa website but car magz have them at 7-7.4 sec

there was a Cooper S a few months back on EC with 200+whp......for a car that weights about 2700lbs that's pretty gud

I drove a cooper S, it's very fun in twisties, but I hate how the manual gears are far apart (not the throw, but the gear ratio)

I test drove a cooper S this weekend. It took corners very very well, quick and tight. It was nice, but I can do alot more with $5k and a 2002 tii. B)
