new land rover discovery

land rover ad i shot in scotland. The offroad capabilities of this thing is nuts. it climbed like a 60% gradient no problem, i wasn't even able to walk up the same hill...

Nice, I like this look! I might have shot with a longer lens, but the environment is important as well. Great job and congrats on the Ad!

ty! i tried with a longer lens but it didnt give as much punch and presence to the car, also where i was standing is a cliff so i couldnt back up anymore without falling off. haha.

Wow, thanks for the compliment on the site! I haven't put anything new up in a while. In fact, I haven't shot anything new in a while. I need to get a new computer, and I've unfortunately let that put a stop on my photography.

I went through a phase where I was anti auto focus... sold off all my AF lenses and bought old Leica, Zeiss, and Russian lenses. Now I'm wanting to go the other way and buy all AF "L" glass. I'm craving a 50 1.2 L and some other nice gems. Hopefully that, plus a new iMac will get me back shooting again.

PS - Your stuff is so top notch its not even funny. How do you process your architectural stuff? Perfect color/white balance, lighting, etc. Are you using external light sources for those interiors? Awesome...

haha yea sometimes the only way to motivate you is to get some new toys :D

I cant manual focus with today's digital cameras and lenses.... its too small to see the fine focus details at times for me. Maybe my eyes suck but i need those old cateye prisms!!
